Obituary
Alfred Orpilla was born and raised in Vallejo. He had a happy childhood
growing up on Ohio Street then in South Vallejo on Orange street where
he lived with his father, Modesto, mother, Aurelia, and brothers Ricky and
Leo. After the death of his mother in 1985, he went to live with his foster
mother Leticia Campos, where he had been for 22 years until he passed
away.
Alfred loved to laugh, especially while watching his favorite Three Stooges
television shows. His laugh was infectious said his brother Leo. Alfred was
always the first to greet guests in his house with a quick handshake and
hello. Among his hobbies were coloring book, puzzles, and collecting
Spiderman memorabilia. He was an avid bowler and has several
championship trophies. As a child, he was a regular participant in the local
Special Olympics.
Alfred attended Everest Elementary School in North Vallejo. As an adult
he participated in county programs where he painted signs, made furniture,
and did assembly work. His innocent spirit and enduring smile will be
missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by brothers Ricky Orpilla (Helen), Leo Orpilla, and sister
in-law Pearl Gaviola (Raymond). He was preceded in death by his parents
Modesto and Aurelia Orpilla.
